multiple things i still need to see, probably won’t have this ready until like march

 

There were things I really appreciated about Titane, but I did not enjoy watching it in the theater. Not sure how much of that was outside factors. Tempted to rewatch it from the comfort of my home this week before making my list, though I’ve got other things I wanna watch & do this week, so we’ll see.

The most memorable thing about watching it was the old lady who walked in kinda last minute and eventually walked out. Genuinely feel bad for her, probably not knowing what she was getting into, lol.

 

Nowhere close to being able to make a solid list, still so much I need to see and I really wish Drive My Car was playing closer to me because I'm sure that would be high up on my list.

 

Pretty confident in my top 10 now that we are days away from year's end and I will not be going to the movies again for a while.

Is LIghtsCameraJackson a real critic or parody? I've seen him posted before but I've never actually looked into him.

 

he's real, he started off a 11 year old film critic and then he got milkshake ducked

 

He is real in that he publishes reviews, attends film festivals, and so on. He started when he was 8 or 9 years old so it was a novelty that daytime shows would have on because he talked like a cross between Leonard Maltin and Joan Rivers but now he is 25 years old and still doing the bit.

 

his episode of doughboys was maybe the worst of the series

 

The funniest thing to me is his videos get like 315 views total but a significantly larger amount of people know of his existence on the internet

 

Hahaha. And he was only on for like 10 minutes of mockery.

 

Drive My Car has apparently been available for a while and no one said a thing.

Booked to see Licorice Pizza on Sunday so that's a 2022 film now so I guess my list is done. Glad I waited until this morning though as I just saw my favourite film of the year. Really good year overall, 6-17 are all super close, a lot of stuff I really loved.

few of the well received movies are omitted due to access (memoria, drive my car, worst person, petite maman, and parallel mothers most notably). some of these I've *acquired*, but the quality is kinda laughable so just waiting for more showings to arrive in SF.

I saw 70 from this year so it's still in the upper half. I love all 30 of these I just think I like 29 more than it haha. The middle portion with the rehearsals started dragging a little for me which put it just below some of the others. Like I said about 6-17 though, 18-30 are all super close and could probably swap around based on how I'm feeling.
