i think we can just give it a ridiculous name seeing as it says 'soccer' next to the name anyway

I was only joking anyway I don't mind what the title is personally

Exactly, you can't win a league over 38 games and not deserve the trophy. Spurs have been fantastic this season, they've came a long way in just 2 years.

All Arsenal have to do is win all of their remaining games. Surely, Leicester and Spurs will collapse.. surely.....please...

I wish it was that easy...but it's just another year of underperforming unfortunately.

The 4-0 Southampton game back in December stopped all momentum. This summer transfer window is crucial; hopefully the Xhaka rumors aren't complete bs.

Exactly what I was thinking, I don't know too much about Xhaka but with all the hype I hope it happens and it works out for us. It would be great to get Aubameyang this summer, but we'll see what kind of $$$ Dortmund is looking for him.

  9. I don't see Aubameyang leaving Dortmund.

Me neither, but it would be a dream come true if Arsenal could land him.

  11. I'd hate my life if that happened.

I don't think attacking is Arsenal's problem. It's who plays behind their attackers that need refreshed.

  13. Is Yarmolenko expected to move this summer?

Arsenal just doesn't have anyone I would consider "world class" up top, and that may or may not be a reason for their struggles. But I definitely would agree that their midfield needs a reboot, we'll see if that starts with Xhaka this summer.

Definitely agree those two are world class, but I guess I was thinking more in terms of a true number 9.

Ah, okay. I still think Giroud is good, but he gets into ruts that really tarnish his image. I think there might also just be a true lack of world class number 9s right now (that don't already play for elite teams).

I was like, "I know Alexis has spent a bit of time injured this year, but damn." But I've been a fan of Alexis since his time at Udinese.

I think this is the issue, it's just not as easy as throwing a bag of money at one of those teams to pick up Lewandowski or Messi for example.

Of course it's just my opinion, but they haven't been the best team. Neither have we. Leicester have and they deserve to win it.

Buying Xhaka is a start, but I think we need a striker and a centre back. The issue is that they're the hardest players to buy I think. I certainly can't think of many available that are world class.

  20. I mean Leicester have the results and that's all that really matters but saying that about the team with the best scoring offense and defense in the league is pretty silly.

As I said, just my opinion, I wouldn't expect everyone to agree with me :) If they don't win it, then of course the winning team will deserve it, but as of now I'd say they "deserve" to win the title.

I have nothing to complain about this season. Great manager, great young team, good depth, fun to watch. Maybe better ownership would be nice, can't have everything though.

To pinch entirely from the fantastic Mediawatch on Football365...

    Worst paragraphs of the day/week/ever
In fact, fuck it, let’s have a top three:

    3) ‘If you’re not being asked to wear rainbow laces or pink ribbons, you’re being bombarded with anti-racist and anti-sexist messages — from Kick It Out, the ‘equality and inclusion’ campaign, to the FA’s Respect programme to ‘help ensure a safe, positive environment in which to play the game’ – Toby Young, MailOnline.

    2) ‘It was designed to promote Breast Cancer Care, the FA’s official charity partner. There’s no question this is a worthy cause — one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime — and the partnership has raised £300,000 since 2014. But what’s it got to do with football? Wouldn’t it make more sense for the FA to raise money for a disease that affects men, such as prostate cancer?’ – Toby Young, MailOnline.

    1) ‘Perhaps it was fitting that Tuesday’s England match was awash with pink shirts, pink ribbons and pink flags. After all, football — along with rugby, cricket and every other traditionally male sport — has been forced to undergo what you might call, to borrow a fashionable phrase, gender re-assignment surgery in the past few years. An area of life that used to be associated with men has been colonised by women determined to prove a point about gender equality, regardless of whether they have any genuine interest in the sports in question’ – Toby Young, MailOnline.

    What an absolute sodding weapon.
