I would also like Voices to finally be pressed to vinyl. This thread has me thinking of other records I would love to be pressed for the first time, but are unlikely for either demand or inability of the label to release the masters back to the artist:

    • This Day & Age - The Bell and the Hammer
    • Matt Nathanson - Beneath These Fireworks
    • Waking Ashland - Composure

  4. I listened to the first 3 songs on my drive home, but none of them were as good or better than the first couple on their first album. The big ending of the first song was cool though. I’ll need to listen to the rest. Maybe there’s more in there I’d be into.

  5. A few albums I’d love to be pressed:

    The Hanks - Distance
    CSTVT - Summer Fences
    Dead Sara - Self Titled
Darci Cash - In The Company Of Strangers
    Montgomery - New Clear War

the fact that CSTVT hasn’t been pressed is CRMNL

Can’t believe you didn’t like didn’t like the first three tracks. There isn’t one bad song on the record in my opinion.

I'm now learning that Stories & Alibis was repressed and I somehow missed it??? Damn.

I said earlier that I'd love those two Fenix TX albums to be pressed. Along with that my white whales have been both The Honorary Title albums, Further Seems Forever's first two albums, Armor For Sleep's Dream to Make Believe, and any Starting Line album.

  13. I think I still have my copy of SILYMI on vinyl. Glad I have that one. And yes, DTMB needs to be pressed asap!

So I purchased an unopened copy of an album that had a CD bundled into the packaging for about a decade. First of all, what an awful idea. Second, the record is pretty warped because of this. Can I unwarp it without ruining it? Would putting a bunch of heavy books on it for a while do the trick? I don't want to do the oven thing.

Yea I don’t recommend the oven, I’ve had success with placing books on a warped one before.

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

I say this as someone that had 10+ shirts in 2006, and wore them constantly Freshmen year of high school, but it truly truly shocks me how ‘big’ Angels & Airwaves still is.

I see people posting and buying the different variants of this record constantly.

I had these! I thought they sounded pretty good, but sounded even better when you add a subwoofer. For that price point they are hard to beat. My local record store has a stack of these, I'm sure to pair with the LP60s they have. These will work great to pair with your first player if you aren't wanting to go the amp + passive speakers route (what I ended up doing and returning these).

Was supposed to be the tour press yellow, they shipped me the original transparent aqua blue one instead. Yay?

Meanwhile, not only did the pressing plant fuck up the Beggars pressing color, the right channel is fucked for the start of both sides.

Edit: Others having the same issue it seems. From Discogs:

"I had very bad experience ordering from Vagrant Records website. They shipped me bad order (one LP is faulty pressed, and another LP has faulty color). They don't want to refund my full order. They want I absorb the original shipping cost which is big loss for me as I am international customer. BE CARRYFULL, don't buy from them! Their products are bad, their service is bad, you will loss your money!"

    Cool!
