I've been playing tiny bits of Halo Infinite (I don't really like FPS campaigns) and I finally got to the part where it opens up more and am definitely looking forward to tackling that now. I had to force myself to play the first few missions or whatever.

 

There are more segments like that later on as you progress the story but they are a double edged sword: necessary but disrupt the flow of the game at the same time.

 

I also played some of the Record of Lodoss War game that just came out on gamepass, it rules pretty hard. Reminds me of SoTN with some really fun and unique elemental mechanics thrown in. I guess it's a whole series though, it has a longgggg name and I have no idea what it means.

Yeah I know that bro lol, it's just obvious from the start theres a entire universe behind the main title that I have never heard of. Turns out there are books, manga and anime for it. It also as an odd history of game releases.

It’s worth it in general, feels like Mass Effect lite (I don’t mean this as a complaint at all). The story is self contained and there’s no crossovers with anything else (as far as I can remember)

 

Yes, there’s some Easter eggs but that’s it.

 

It has the same appeal as a Telltale game. The gameplay is nothing to write home about but it is a very good game, the narrative is truly captivating.

 

the most annoying thing about GOTG is that on PS5 it's 1080p in performance mode, which is... disappointing to say the least. Same as Returnal.

Come on, gimme at least 1440p, come on! It's not my fault I have perfect 20/20 vision and can count individual pixels, come on!

I agree. performance mode can't keep 60fps at all at this point. a similarly specc'd PC to a PS5 easily outperforms it, it just needs more optimization.
