One way to instill fear in people would be for the federal government to behave as if this was something to be feared. But they really aren’t.

Send a supply of high grade masks to each home every week. Send free tests to every home. There are countless things the federal government could do to send the signal that this is scary and you should be adjusting your behavior accordingly. That isn’t what we are seeing.

In fact, they told us things are getting back to normal so we need to start repaying our student loans! It’s insanity.

Vaccines were never the solve-all, insta-end to the pandemic, they should be viewed as one part of a much more robust response. It is super troubling to see governments saying "well, you've had your shots and booster so you're good. No vaccine? Sorry, got nothing else here".

I went to an emo night a few days ago. It was my first anything back as far as live events go. I really thought the mask was going to be so much more annoying than it was. Yeah it was irritating occasionally, but it’s such a small price I’m willing to pay to get to keep going to shows.

Yeah tehre's an entire generation of emo kids right below us in their early-mid 20s now that got REALLY into that post-peak emo/pop punk in taht 2007-2010+ phase that I've never really been able to get into at all lol. And they've used the power of social media to get it more nostalgia looks than the whole 1998-2007 phase of it. With the exception of MCR and Fall Out Boy.
