Oh, I hope you didn’t think I was making a dig! I definitely feel like mostly everyone on this website is vaccinated (if someone can’t for legitimate medical reasons, I completely understand). I don’t know how it’s been where you live, but I went to a show in Virginia back in October that didn’t check for vaccination so I can imagine there’s been a lot of shows where people are slipping by. But overall, hope all will be well with you soon! Hearing that your one friend barely felt it and is boosted makes me feel even better about getting boosted, which I’m doing in January.

 

Stuff like this will keep happening imo

The Sleeping at Irving Plaza is postponed til June. Also, my cousin and his wife just told me that they know a literal *dozen* people who tested positive after seeing Taking Back Sunday on Long Island. Oyyyy

 

Watching it now and half the show is old skits. So depressing.

 

I caught COVID this week and missed The Starting Line at Starland Ballroom tonight. NJ/NY getting decimated from COVID.

 

Last night MGK said he was going to play small rooms and play nothing but the old albums.

He didn’t elaborate on when or how it’d happen. But I guess worth noting.

 

Imagine paying money to go see a pedophile.

 

Enter Shikari & Holding Absence have both had members test positive today. Feel bad for all these bands that are cutting tours short cause of this.

 

Its the second time Enter Shikari test positive for covid this tour. A few weeks ago Chris, their bass player, was positive and didnt peform with them for a couple of shows. Im surprised they cancelled the shows this time.

I was at that Killers show and the amount of people not wearing their masks coupled with the fact that no one ever checked my vaccine card once is truly infuriating. Plus as mentioned there were no capacity limits. Hopefully venues start enacting some capacity limits and actually check vax cards (and hopefully go double vaxxed + booster) in the future.

I also went to that Killers show and had a completely different experience. The door guy thoroughly checked my vax card/id. Then inside I was on the main floor but in the back. Everyone around me was mostly masked but definitely respectful of everyone’s space. I couldn’t believe it. That was the first show since they came back where I honestly felt comfortable.

Also the other shows I went to where I felt iffy were Gulch, Turnstile, Thursday, Jeff Rosenstock, Lagwagon and Lawrence Arms. The show I felt most comfortable was Spanish Love Songs. That crowd was like 98% masked.

 

Best shows I've been to in terms of covid precautions were Foxing (100% masked, seriously I swear) and Julien Baker (~95%). Worst was definitely Dead & Co but that was outside. Haven't been to an indoor show that's made me super duper uncomfortable but I've also only been to a handful of indoor shows and don't have a ticket to one for months now
