Also: I somehow wound up with two copies of Kathleen Edwards' Failer on vinyl despite only purchasing one. If any of y'all don't have that record and want it, send me your address and it's yours. Don't need any money for it obviously since I didn't pay for it. It's the recent repress, assume the other one is the orangeish variant I have

Completely forgot this happened. Her press team needs to work a little harder for her.

 

So glad I was able to snag this on vinyl, missed out on Vol.1.

One of the best albums this year.

This Allison Russel album probably ends up in my top 20 for the year, maybe top 10. I know it’s been getting quite a bit of attention elsewhere recently, (I think it even got a Grammy nomination) but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it posted about here. It’s somewhat of a concept album about her childhood sexual abuse and recovery. Obviously it’s a very emotional listen. Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t.

 

This album was one of my favorites last year. I need to revisit it.

Looks like I missed one when I was deleting stuff. But really, the list isn't a "country" list. There's only a few on there I'd consider technically country. But we talk about singer songwriter stuff in here and other artists. Like I know there's several fans of Patrick Droney in here.

 

Definitely way fewer country albums on my list this year, but there are a few!
