I can’t decide if I want to go tonight. I know way too many people with COVID right now and it doesn’t look like many people wore masks last night. My best friend got COVID from the Luke Combs concert at MSG lol

 

I do not, have not and will not ever understand the Jonas stuff. These guys haven't released a record in over 5 years but they're out here recording a Weezer cover that literally nobody asked for and are now including it in live shows instead of...um, a new song.

It is, however, awesome to see My Blue Heaven in the setlist.

 

If I were going to these shows, I would be way, way, way more excited to see Straylight Run.

 

That's a tough choice to make. I'm supposed to go to Hot Mulligan this weekend and those "COVID thoughts" have crossed my mind for sure, but ultimately I'm probably going to go. I've done what I can do to protect myself against it.

 

I saw them on the 2019 tour and it was one of the worst performances I've ever seen. Adam seemed drunk and could barely get the lyrics out. Definitely convinced me not to go to any more shows of theirs

 

don't overthink it, Jonas is a fun song and probably fun for them to play, the end

 

Yeah i’m not gonna get bent out of shape over the weezer cover, its fun. and also, lets not forget they have given us i believe 2 new songs since 2018? They released 2 new songs with the 20 album and played “all ready to go” at virtually every show pre covid. I’m still not blaming bands for not being as active as we the fans would have hoped theyd be during the pandemic.

 

Pumped to go tonight -- anyone familiar with the opener Playing Dead?:

 

Haven’t really listened to them, but they’re my friends Brother’s band so I’ll be showing support lol. Kinda more in the vein of a softer The Menzingers

 

It’s a shame that “Bike Scene” and “Ghost Man on Third” aren’t on the setlist so Michelle could come out for them.

I'm holding out hope for a Straylight Run headliner so we can get more from TNTS, but that was really an incredible show for both bands. It's amazing how TBS just felt like a fun a bonus haha

 

It's a crime SR isn't playing anything from TNTS

 

Damn didn't know Straylight wasn't playing anything from TNTS. That is definitely disappointing.

Fortunately! The setlist I saw had it crossed out, hand-written back in, and crossed out again

 

I love the first album and the Wrong EP but could never get into The Needles at all. Gave it another listen today and hasn't changed. For some reason it just massively bores me. Not bad of course it just doesn't engage me at all.

TBS and Straylight Run were both incredible last night. I didn’t think TBS would be able to top Straylight Run since my anticipation leaned heavily towards finally seeing them perform live (and they delivered as well as I could have hoped for), but the crowd and energy for TBS may have been the best I’ve seen since the first show with John/Shaun back. The setlist balanced new and old perfectly (the “new” is very well received at this point). And the crowd demanding This Photograph is Proof to be performed via singing it between the final few songs was something special.

I saw them post on their social media about this saying this is the first time anything like that ever happened to them. Curious to how that happened? What prompted the crowd to just break out into that song?

 

I've never really been that into Photograph tbh. Prob my least fave on WYWTB

 

Regardless of what song it was, I just find it interesting that the crowd would break out into a random song between songs. Seems very cool and very bizarre all at the same time, haha.
