Yeah that price point is high and annoying, but it’s what I’ve come to expect from double LPs lately.

Genuinely stoked this is happening even though there's no hope I could possibly attend either show. Really hoping they'll announce more dates for next year.

This is very obscure but: I'm listening to my Live at the Patchogue Theater vinyl and after a song someone screams "SPANISH DELI!" to which John Nolan says "Spanish Deli?" and acts very confused. Growing up I lived in Rockville Centre, NY and my house and the middle school (2000-2003 attendance) were both very close to what students called "the Spanish Deli" because they didn't know the term for bodega yet I guess.

After John and Shaun left TBS, they lived in a house behind the deli with I believe Michelle and The Starting Line's manager at the time. When I'd walk home from school I'd see them playing music on the porch and say hello. This came in handy when I went to their first show ever (The Downtown) and my tickets didn't work and Will Noon snuck me in the back door.

Anyways—I want to know who screamed that and whether or not John understood the reference haha.

This is pretty wild and neat.

Straylight would just be casually out on their porch, practicing music, while you were strolling home? That sounds like an incredible memory, and era in time, back then.

It's also kind of humorous that Nolan was completely unaware of this until now and literally thought someone was just randomly yelling out "spanish deli" during their set.

Yeah man, it was great! As an emo/punk/TBS-loving middle schooler and early high schooler I thought this was the coolest thing in the world. This was around the time they were writing that debut EP, some of which ended up on self-titled. Would walk by and ask how the writing was going and they were happy to chat. Good people.

Now I'm just so curious because whoever screamed that: 1) knew what the "Spanish Deli" was, 2) knew that John and Michelle lived there. It can't possibly be that many people.

Just thinking back to being 15 as that was all happening, I can barely fathom how fucking cool that must have been.
