It feels similar to the Mark Teixeira/Red Sox negotiations in 2008 to me where there was tons of smoke around Tex being close to sign with the Sox and then radio silence for a half a day and then it being announced he was headed to the Yankees. Hope I’m wrong because I’d like to see him sign with the Mets it would be fun.
