My god, this Punk v MJF promo is magnificent...shitting all over WWE while building an AEW feud. The "Second City" portion was Miro level perfection.

Deeply sad that Punk didnt hit him with "fine speech" though

 

That and Fenix going absolutely nuts made that 8-man tag great.

Also, FTR's theme is ok; far from the worst in AEW even if its a little forgettable. Kenny Omega's theme on the other hand, especially when put against Hangmans, absolute trash

 

when punk hit em with the 'replaced by britt baker' and the fans immediately charted chanting 'dmd'. done.

 

As much as I respect Bobby Fish, and enjoyed his work as ReDragon going back to his pre-NXT days, I definitely didn't expect him to get this much shine after leaving.

Do you mean that the shine from him in Undisputed Era raised his aura? Or that he's still getting the rub from him now with their affiliation? Or both?

 

Both, I don’t think he would be getting much of anything without that nxt experience. I also don’t think they would’ve brought him in if Adam and him weren’t close so I think that’s really a big part of it. If that’s what it takes to bring undisputed era to aew you probably have to do it.

 

And I'm all for the 3+ of them being in AEW - they're an obvious fit. I'm more surprised to see Fish in a AAA single championship match though.

Yeah definitely. Very early on I thought MJF might do it eventually but he’s been treated like a star so doubting that now.

Jericho will certainly have to go back for a run + HOF induction so I’d assume him first.
