I really need to give the Deftones record another listen. I thought it was alright/better than Gore, but people are putting it in White Pony territory which is insane to me.

 

Anyway favorite metal record this year is probably Enforced but I need to peep some of the new DM releases that 20 Buck Spin/Profound Lore have been dropping

 

I liked Gore a lot. I didn't really listen to the new one all that much. I don't know why. Maybe I'll listen to it while raking the leaves later on

 

Yeah like there’s no outright “bad” Deftones record or whatever, but Adrenaline and Gore are several rungs below the rest

 

Ohms is definitely in at the very least Diamond Eyes/ST/SNW row imo

 

diamond eyes has always been their most overrated. good record obviously but cmon

 

Probably their most accessible outside WP, but I agree. ATF will always be my fav

 

Around the fur is also my favorite

It’s very good

 

Reminds of "End of Heartache" Howard Jones material; good stuff. Dude has such a powerful voice

 

People are going to compare to his time in KSE but I think it’s very different and far more melodic.
Essentially it’s not metal core.

I personally think they should get back together and do a tour of As Daylight Dies considering it’s success.

 

Sion sounds like the million other interchangeable bands who formed in KSE's wake. Howard still has a great voice though.

 

Malignant Altar Revisits "Ceremonial Decapitator" On New Single (Song Premiere + Interview)

So many heavy hitters coming out late this year.

 

They should def do a best of both worlds tour at some point, like tour with both Jesse and Howard and have them trade off lead vocals. Next year would be the perfect time since it’s AOJB’s 20th anniversary.
