Yeah I wish they had a slower roll out for all the new wrestlers but the ones in the war games match all hold some great potential imo

I watched a bit of NXT last night and it really feels like they're making like reality show characters into wrestlers. It's not not enjoyable, just kinda weird.

Watching the Good, Bad, Elite series. It's tremendous and amazing to recall all that has already happened on AEW.

My god though, babyface Bucks and Omega are so fuckin boring compared to their heel counterpart. I really hope they stay heel for longer.

Vince wanted him to be a manager for Keith Lee. Similar to what Lio Rush was for Bobby Lashley

 

Well that (stupid) idea didn't age well considering how soon after Keith Lee was released. Or generally how WWE mismanages the use of managers (not named Heyman). And that's ignoring how incredibly talented and over Cole is as a wrestler! Yeesh.

 

Vince just hates smaller wrestlers for some reason. Feel like Danielson wouldn't be as big of a star as he was in WWE if it wasn't for how vocal the fans were.

 

Idk how true that WWE pitch to Cole story is, Cole made it clear after his AEW debut that his decision was really easy to make and he made it clear to WWE what he was doing right away. Just sounds like some dirt sheet shit, it's just believable due to the fucking insane incompetency that is displayed all over WWE these days.

 

Oh if it's just from the dirtsheets I don't believe it. I'd assumed with the number of podcasts and interviews he's done that he'd said that somewhere and that's where the story had come from.

 

I just assumed that the Kieth Lee manager thing was just one of probably many ideas WWE creative threw around for Cole, but it was the only one that leaked to the sheets.

I can believe it was an idea somebody pitched that maybe they were considering, but i do not believe that was the final conclusive creative plan for Cole's main roster run.

 

I mean if his decision was really easy then I can definitely see that being the pitch lol or somehow the worst of the pitches they gave him

 

I assume most outrageous wild booking plans that people go ape shit over are just "one of many" talked about. I think Cole even said that the Keith Lee plan was something he never heard about. I don't think it means the dirt sheets sourcing it (fightful,won,pwi,etc...) it's the shitty aggregators needing clickbait and acting like they were bigger pitches than they were and the IWC running with it because it's more fun to be angry on the internet.

Like I'd imagine a lot of plans are like the one about Cole shaving his head where they talked about it, asked him to, he said no and everyone moved on with no drama.

I guess they turned the head shaving pitch into the Diamond Mine instead of doing the Cole Mine

 

Yeah It was essentially a rough draft given to a guy who changes his mind probably 50 times a day. To act as if that idea was written in stone for Cole's main run silly.

 

I feel like gargano has done everything there is to do at nxt, it’s probably best to try something new
