That’s my take too… if you want to pay to watch people get pissed on,hell yeah do your thing. But this is crazy. And the guy spit urine on people afterward. I feel pretty confident people in the crowd didn’t sign up for that

I know it’s purely hypothetical but I can’t help but feel that if a male singer peed in a consenting female fan’s mouth, people would be outraged.

my only comment / thought on this was along these lines - the guy spitting and throwing piss into the audience would probably get more backlash than the singer doing it since the crowd only had to see her (from the side, not straight on) pee on a dude versus the fan throwing it at the audience

The article posted above compares it to GG Allin - yeahhhhh, what GG Allin used to do on stage is VERY different & much much worse than this.

Probably because if the singer was male, people would insist that the female fan could not have consented due to inherent power structures

Doesn't apply the other way around I guess?

For the record, if you're into it, drink all the celebrity piss you want - I think its gross but its got nothing to do with what I think

Sometimes I feel things are posted on here to cause outrage, or some kind of “let’s be outraged by this together.” It seemingly causes frustration/annoyance within some users that post on here from time to time. No es bueno para la alma.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

Part of accepting Chorus.FM means that someone is going to post something wild or outrageous in the Accountability threads that does not mean a crime was committed or someone did something in which they should be burned at the stake and removed from their place in society.

If there was even a .5% chance of anyone in my band pissing on anyone, I’d like to think no all-ages gigs would be high up on the non-negiotables

I mean, “all ages” shows doesn’t really mean anything though. Artists on stage can still say whatever they want .. drop F bombs, make comments that would only be found in rated R movies, etc. I saw my first pair of boobs at a NASCAR race when I was a kid. All ages event. Not saying it’s appropriate to piss on someone in front of a crowd, but just saying “all ages” doesn’t really mean anything in the same way a rated R movie showing at a theater does.

I guess festivals and venues will just have to have a specific no pissing on anyone rule for all ages shows haha

I agree with your point, but I’d also assume that most people going to an all ages show expect that some language may happen or maybe even some public nudity. That’s not comparable to something most people would consider a pretty extreme act that may be triggering for some people. Nobody goes to a show expecting to see someone pee on someone else regardless if the person was a willing participant. That’s the kind of thing I’d figure you would warn your crowd about if that’s part of your show.

So where this pissing thing happened was at the Daytona International Speedway during Rockville. So NASCAR can still be to blame.
