If you understandably don't want to watch James Corden, he asks Tom if there's a Blink reunion in store and Tom basically says that they've been talking about it and want to do it when their schedules line up and when Mark is healthy enough. Nothing he hasn't said before but he seems pretty damn sure it's gonna happen

 

I didn’t think it would ever happen back in 2015/16 but right now I would be shocked if it didn’t happen. After the newest releases from AVA and blink’s NINE album I’m definitely interested in seeing the direction they would go in. I just hope if there is a reunion that Tom doesn’t get bored of it and become uninterested again. They all need to be 100% on board or there’s no point.

 

He will 100% lose interest being back full time.

I imagine he’d do a tour though, which would be cool.

 

Lol this is so tired. Yeah this is stuff Tom has said since he left blink. Except now he has Mark's friendship to lord over his fans with this line

I doubt Mark and Travis would want to wait 5 to 10 years to put out another album

It's like Mark and Tom are friends again, just leave it at that cause being in a band again would just fuck it up all over

Yup that’s my fear. I feel like they will do a big summer tour and then go into the studio and it will be a repeat of Neighborhoods where it ends up taking 2 years to come out and it won’t be that good.

 

IF and that’s a big IF Tom goes back to blink, I’d much prefer they release a killer studio album than your. They should just do what they did with Untitled. Rent a house somewhere between LA and San Diego, bring in a bunch of studio gear, and just create.

 

I dont think for one second that they'll record new music. I don't get that vibe from Tom's comments either.
I DO think that they'll cash in on a reunion tour, though. Coachella, Lolla, Reading. Now that Travis flies they'll lock in a proper Australia tour. But then probably back to the Matt era.

 

I've always believed Tom will return to tour AND make new music with blink. But he will NEVER make it his biggest priority. He will always get bored and wander off to do something else. I hope Mark has realized that once and for all at this point. And that's fine, put out a blink album every 5 years. Go on a big tour every 2 years. Just do other shit in the meantime (preferably not Skiba-182.)

 

Tom and Mark could not make a killer blink album. They aren't close to being on the same page musically

 

Agreed. I’ve been lucky to see them multiple times in their primes where I’d rather them just release new music than to see them live again.

 

Idk, I disagree. Both have experimented with electronic stuff, Tom in AVA and Mark in Simple Creatures. Both have punk tracks like Toms odds and ends album and post-Tom blink with Mark. The biggest difference is that Tom doesn’t want to work with Feldman or outside songwriters.

 

I really like the idea of no outside songwriters on a new Blink album.

I honestly feel like they're closer in musical preference right now than at any point in the last decade +. Plenty of stuff on the latest AVA album that easily could be blink songs.
