.. anyone have any ideas what the hell is happening with Ian's new project The Gentle Hits? It's been a long time since any updates.

 

I want them back so bad, put on Drunk Like Bible Times yesterday and it was way better than i remembered it being

 

Last I heard they were mastering a new record, but that was also October 2015, so hopefully we get some good news soon!

 

This thread needs some more posts/love.

Nah. I always made it D&TH when I'd go to shorthand, versus DATH. Personal preference (I really like ampersands!).

 

@spencpants ugh that makes it so confusing and funny looking. But that's fine.

I was so stoked when I saw this come across my feed first-thing this morning!

 

The Gentle Hits out November 18th!

Wish this was being released on vinyl. Really just happy to be getting the record though.

 

Ordered the digital copy so hard

 

The album is apparently an hour and three minutes.

I cannot begin to describe how excited I am for this.

Man I've missed his voice

 

Those two DatH records are a couple of my most listened to records of the last ten years.

I actually went to the album release show of Small Steps, Heavy Hooves. Spoke with Ian before the band because there were hardly any people there. They even played "Run in the Front" for me, which was really cool of them.

 

Ian was a solid dude, and this is me EIGHT YEARS AGO

Well, yeah, is. I have his email now and shot him a note yesterday as soon as the announcement came! I've got his handwriting on my left wrist as well!

 

well now that is cool. Next time tell him the guy he played Run in the Front for at the album release show for Small Steps, Heavy Hooves is stoked for the new record ha.

Hopefully we get a single soon.
