Shildt will 100% be employed as an MLB manager before spring training lol. And I have a lot of trouble believing that we're gonna come up with someone who is SO MUCH BETTER that it was worth rocking the boat. Managers aren't actually that important to winning and losing

This reeks of a John Mozeliak scared defensive power trip move and I hate it and I'm bummed for Shildt who genuinely seemed like a pretty great guy and had been with the org for literally decades. Shit sucks.

 

Maybe if the front office stopped dragging their damn feet on getting better talent, there wouldn’t be “philosophical differences” or whatever weak excuse they have to get rid of a dude making the best of what they gave him, like @DaydreamNation said.
