No worries. I just recently played Zero Mission and his attack pattern was pretty much the same in that. I’m terrible at Metroid so the fight was burned into my mind after a dozen failed attempts lol.

Yeah there’s always a weird timing thing that you need to get used to with the space jump. I get that they don’t want it to be as easy as the jump flying in a Kirby game, but they could make it a bit clearer how to pull it off.

With all the Dread hype it’s worth pointing out that The Ori Collection is only 34 bucks at Target. The Blind Forest and Will of the Wisps are must play games if you’re a fan of Metroidvanias.

Need to finish Ori 1 and play Ori 2. I bought them both last year.

As someone who adopted two sisters and named them Ori and Celeste, I can vouch it’s a lucky name because they turned out great

While my cats are not named after video games (Padmè and Leia). I do have a dog named Yoshi.

Just finished Metroid Dread. First Metroid game I’ve played and finished. The boss fights were excellent even though I rage quit a few times. It was fun exploring and collecting items. The gravity suit > power suit.

    Overall I’d give the game a 9/10

I’ve hyped him up before, and I’ll do it again since we are sharing pets with video game names…

Nice. Be warned, after my recent play through of all the games, Super Metroid was the hardest to go back to. It’s a great game, but her movement feels incredibly stiff and slow compared to how she handles in Zero Mission and Fusion.

I sold my free Metroid pre order mug on eBay for $33. So basically Metroid Dread only cost me $27.

Sweet! My game and mug never showed up, I should probably just cancel the order, I’m sure they’re out of the mugs

Oh damn. That stinks. The game didn’t even arrive?! It’s a cool mug and all, but I didn’t mind cashing it in for such a ridiculous amount. Walmart seems to offer a pre order bonus for the big Nintendo releases. I got a pair of socks and keychain when I pre ordered Skyward Sword and sold those for about $25.

Yeah they really do get some neat preorder bonuses at Walmart. No the game never showed up either, my order just says “delayed”. I don’t have much time for gaming during the week so I’m not sweating it right now, but if it’s not here by Friday I’ll just cancel it and do a download.

That loneliness is not a function of solitude.

Man I want to love Metroid but most of the time I'm just kind of wandering around feeling lost. It feels tight and satisfying to control and the action is great, but I might just have to concede to the fact that this isn't a genre I'm into
