The rest of that thread is yikes af, but that tweet in particular, I was at the first SSF date and genuinely can't tell you a weird thing that was said. Jack made a boring kind of "your mom" crack and Alex earnestly told him they can't make jokes like that anymore. There were no "classic" obnoxious/gross quips.

 

Why are these people still going to their shows if they know how shit they are?

 

I don't think these people are, I think these are mostly stories from years past. Even if these people are still going, the "blame" shouldn't be on the women who attend their shows and on the band to stop being gross and do better.

 

Well yeah, but I don't care how much I loved a band in the past. If I know they are shitty, I don't have an excuse for going to see them. I was just genuinely curious why someone might do that. Not blaming anyone.

I’ve said it before but Nicki invents new ways to be an absolutely awful person. Leigh Anne’s a saint for not taking the bait and really getting into it with her.

 

Morgan is a CASH COW for Nashville labels, writers and publishers. He writes very little of his own music, with most songs having 3-4 writers (fairly standard for Nashville).

Eric Church is one of those writers. Getting Morgan back on the road and selling records is a profitable idea for many people in Nashville. Fuck that whole Nashville/country radio scene in general.

 

Agreed. I’d argue that the “Nashville” country scene is more toxic than CCM which is atrociously toxic.
