Apparently Ticketfly died in 2018? How the fuck did I just find that out? I literally still have the app on my phone

I did think it was weird that a couple venues that usually used it started using Ticketmaster instead but for some reason it never occurred to me that the entire platform was gone

 

Ticketmaster absorbed them.

 

If I remember correctly it happened because a data breach where the information of their costumers was exposed

 

"Absorbed"... I fucking hate that word

 

The Orlando RHCP date is the day after The Killers at the Amway Center so that'll be fun.

 

The Strokes and Thurndercat as opening act. Im down for some nosebleed tickets

 

Looks like there is a tiny GA section in the seating chart for these RHCP dates. NYC and LA likely getting second dates given the gap.

 

I just care about seeing The Strokes and have no desire to see RHCP especially after I found out Kiedis is a rapist so hopefully The Strokes do a headlining tour after this.

Someone made the point that AK is like "Neo from the Matrix dodging cancellation". I haven't heard any outright rape allegations against him but his autobiography definitely paints him as a scumbag.

Beck’s opening the LA date of that Chili Peppers tour. I assume he’s on some other West Coast dates too

Edit: He’s also on the SF date but that’s it

 

Had a feeling the strokes wasn't gonna be in that one. Still happy about Beck being there

 

RHCP would be fun to see at least once. Might try to grab a nosebleed seat or a Groupon if there is one.

 

Going to be seeing RATM and RHCP for the first time during the same week. Glad I held out for Frusciante after missing the Stadium Arcadium tour.

 

I think Im gonna go to vegas for the RHCP/STROKES tour.

 

I loved OLP in the 90’s/early 00’s but the combination of some key members leaving, uneven albums and Raine’s deteriorating vocals just gives me no motivation to see them anymore.

 

I love how people see the literal admission from Kiedis in this thread and are still like YEAH I'M GOING

 

I was thinking the same thing and wasn’t sure whether to say anything but…yeah.

It’s not even an alleged or he said she said thing, he literally admits to it in his autobiography and plays it off like it’s no big deal. It was with a fucking 14 year old. It was also way past the era where rockstars were doing that extremely gross stuff and getting away with it. Not to also mention the other things linked above that are gross.
