its interesting how Matty and George are kind of the Morrissey/Marr of the band, where Matty writes the lyrics and then George helps construct and orchestrate a lot of the song alongside Matty. Not to knock Adam and Ross, but from watching interviews and reading it just seems like Matty and George do most of the songwriting.

I wonder when that side project of theirs is going to come out.

 

Last night I just said fuck it because I couldnt sleep and I listened to all the EPs, the debut, and then this and it was magical. This band is tied with The Hotelier for my favorite band of the decade.

matt and george do a lot of the foundational work but adam and ross are also credited as songwriters on pretty much every song so its still very much a collaborative process. george seems to have a little more say than them all since he also co produces with crossey

at least hot topic is clear on the sizing of the shirts lol. half the shirts i bought from the 1975 site are either women's/ junior sizes. UGH.

 

I bought the She Way Out t-shirt a little over a year ago and the design unfortunately titled off to the side as it went through the wash, so I need to get a new 1975 shirt so everybody knows I am a fan of this band.

 

One of my favorite bands but I don't own a single piece of merch from them. I think their merch is horrendous, especially for a guy.

They just got announced for 97x Next Big Thing in Tampa on 12/3 as the headliner but I'm severely disappointed by the rest of the lineup so will not be going to Florida for the 2nd year in a row for the pair of festivals down there. I'll just stick with the 2 times in seeing them on their fall tour and hope they'll add a Denver date
