I mean you literally said you were good with all the cast choices and then when someone pointed out how terrible Crisp Rat is you ranted about how they should boycott all of Nintendo.

Which like sure. if you wanna waste all this energy white knighting for homophobes you're free to do so. But seems a bit silly to get mad when not everyone wants homophobes to stick around and pollute their entertainment.

 

The Sega lineup is juicy though. Can’t wait

 

Even if he didn’t suck, the idea of Mario with Chris Pratt’s voice sounds like total shit

 

I'm going to post my thoughts before reading what everyone is saying.

1. Kirby is in a 3D adventure for what I believe is the first ever time and I am absolutely here for it. Heavy Odyssey vibes. This is absolutely on my wishlist.

2. Triangle Strategy continues to look pretty darn cool, but man is that the most obnoxious name ever. Still, looks pretty and I'm down for a good strat-RPG.

3. I'm really hoping the Castlevania Advance Collection comes to Steam, just because achievements are about the only reason I'd have to rebuy them. Really cool that Konami is rereleasing them though; I hope they continue to do collections like this.

4. I don't know how to feel about the whole online tier thing, but I'm glad to see that Nintendo finally is putting N64 titles on the system, and adding Genesis as well is an unexpected bonus. I'm curious how much more it will cost and if there are any other benefits beyond the additional emulators.

5. That casting for the Mario movie is... something. I don't know how I feel about this, but I don't know how I feel about a Mario movie in general, so it's nothing against the cast. I'm anxious to see a trailer, especially if it's coming out next year.

6. I'm not as invested in this series as some people, but I'm so glad that they finally showed Bayonetta 3, just for Platinum's sake. I'm not sure how much longer they could go being passive-aggressively cryptic. It's nice to know that yes, it exists, and yes, everything is alright.

7. The one game, and this may show my age, but the one game that really took me by surprise and made me gasp in shock, is the remake of ActRaiser. And the only reason I'm not on the Nintendo store right now and begging them to take my money is because I want to find out if it's coming to Steam or if it's a Switch exclusive. Either way, my money may as well already be in Square's wallet. I can't believe they brought it back, and I'm so fucking happy.

 

So what is the full list of launch N64 games? From my memory it's
Ocarina of Time
Super Mario 64
Star Fox 64
and a few others at launch.

 

Mario Kart as well

 

I don't like Chris Pratt either for the reasons already specified but y'all are being incredibly toxic. If the voice actor for an animated movie gets you this worked up and angry towards people who do not match your level of worked up, go touch some grass.

 

I’m all for someone preferring Pratt to not be chosen. I just don’t care to be told to “get fucked” just because I said I like the cast. It was an impulsive comment from someone who is known to make personal attacks in this thread. I never vouched for Pratt as a person. I merely like his voice work and, as an ensemble, I shared my looking forward to hearing this ensemble cast.

Everyone aside from Pratt is great casting for me.

If Pratt's Mario doesn't tell Day's Luigi to go do some "Luigi work" I'm going to be disappointed.

 

So this reminded me of something else I want to comment on, and it's how smart Nintendo is to relegate some specific games and content to their own Directs, which allows them to roll on with more games in the main presentation and keep things brief. It's a savvy move.

 

Not to stick up for Vase but I’m pretty sure what Vase meant was the idea of Chris Pratt being in the cast can get fucked. Which, it can.

Vase can feel free to correct me if I’m wrong though.

Either way though, chill.

 

ActRaiser, Kirby and the N64 are great.

I haven't really played Bayo so I can't say much about that.

 

Agreed, the fact that someone who is by all accounts an alt-right POS and a bigot can still be a leading man in a Hollywood movie in the year 2021 is good and normal and if you're mad you're the idiot.

That's what I meant. I didn't think it would be taken the other way considering how most people in here feel about Pratt.

 

The three you mentioned, as well as Mario Kart, Yoshi's Story, Mario Tennis, Dr. Mario, WinBack (which is a choice...), and I believe I saw Sin And Punishment as well, which is great.
