Daily positive Mets post (sorry):

Let's assume the Braves win tonight. Mets will be back 7.0 games.

Braves go kerplunk, lose 2 straight against Dbacks and then get swept by the Padres. 5 losses in a row.

Mets go splashing, win against the sox tomorrow, then sweep the brewers.

The date is now Sep 28th, Mets are just 2.5 games back (I think? too late to double-check the math) with a series against the Marlins and then 3 more against the Braves to end the season. You can't spell impossible without possible.
