What are the best super hero movies and which would you consider great films?

I don’t know think I feel that any are great tbh. But I liked batman begins, the dark knight, unbreakable, x-men first class, thor:ragnarok. I’m not saying any superhero movies are above the dark Knight, my post was poorly worded. I’m saying I don’t see why it’s considered this great film and not on par with other good superhero movies.

I agree with that view. On your last sentence, I’d say the reason people rate it so highly over other superhero movies is entirely attributable to Ledger’s performance. I can’t think of another superhero movie performance that comes close to it.

Yeah it’s almost definitely Ledger’s performance that does it. Dude really brought the Joker to life to fit Nolan’s world and it’s just an extremely memorable character. Like his performance would immediately come to mind if someone asked me about standout character portrayals.

I also thought the story itself was mostly good. Interesting to see a guy move into town and create mass chaos all while taking over the city’s entire criminal underworld. Gonna be forever sad we didn’t get to see what a movie with Hardy’s Bane doing us league of shadows thing while an escaped Joker created chaos of his own would look like.

Synecdoche, New York wins it with 28 votes. The Dark Knight was in second place with 12 votes. The Dark Knight will move on to the bracket.

Also I never gave my top 3 but it's definitely probably...

    1. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
    2. The Dark Night
    3. WALL-E

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was criminally underrated when it first came out, almost none of my friends who had seen all those other comedies saw it. But eventually it worked its way into the lexicon and it's one of the movies from those 2000s comedies I still enjoy the most.
