    After much thought and consideration, as well as my own personal experience with the subject, I've decided to just delete Housebroken from my library. To some it won't seem like a big deal, but for me I just can't look past the problematic nature and the PTSD that I, and others, feel towards that subject. I've tried to enjoy it as an anti cop song, but I just can't separate it.

    Sorry to bring up Housebroken again, it's just cathartic for me.

    This makes a lot of sense and I can completely understand your reasons for doing so. If that helps you enjoy the album in a more fulfilling way I think there's nothing wrong with it.

    Thank you.

    To me it's just such an outlier in the album. It's almost like it was supposed to be a b-side but they wanted to throw it in anyways. Christian even said in the AMA that he liked the flow of Life In Drag to Discomfort, and that he didn't blame people for deleting the song.

    Honestly LID -> DR is sick

    Housebroken sounds wayyyyy too much like Pamphleteer by the Weakerthans imo

    Went through their discog today and it's pretty crazy to me how they went from INGO to Goodness. Not that INGO wasn't good, but they've had a really interesting career over the course of three albums

    End of There Is a Light might be my favorite lyrical verse of theirs

    I listened to this for the first time in probably two months today. Don't know why I don't play it more, it's wonderful.

    Whoa, now this is exciting to read. For some reason I used to get you and Chris Collum mixed up so for the longest time I thought it was you that wrote the Home review haha

    @FurtherFromSky Moderator

    Well we were both Springsteen fanboys and we did the Back Pages stuff together, so that makes sense! But yeah, he wrote the Home review and I did the blurb for the EOTY list. Still probably one of my favorite things I've written, though.

    If you remove housebroken I think home is absolutely flawless. But yeah I loved both those pieces
