Glad that the rumor about them dumping the lightning port on the Pro Max didn't turn out to be true. As little as I care about a physical charging port for charging, my car only accepts a wired CarPlay connection, so, if they get rid of that and don't have a solution, it's gonna be a big problem for me.

Also, the cameras are insane.

 

Honestly, the 13 lineup looks very nice, but I’m pretty underwhelmed overall. The battery on my 11 isn’t great, but I’m considering sticking it out for another year. I didn’t see anything I need to upgrade for. Stoked for anyone who’s due for one though.

 

I was hoping for a great upgrade to my AirPod gen 1s. But it seems the MacBook and AirPod stuff will probably be paired together in the next event.

Maybe someone smarter than me with this stuff can answer this, but what’s the logic behind moving to USB-C for iPads but not iPhones? I know Lightning is proprietary and they probably make a killing off it, but why not use it on iPads too then? Am I missing something?

Most of those are conjecture and nonsense. Pr*sser literally had that (probably fake) iPhone 14 render waiting in the wings for the 13 event to be announced, and specifically made it to counteract the way the 13 was supposed to look (smaller notch and bigger camera module.)
It's all a nonsense for entertainment value/hype/clicks.

 

First year I’m totally sitting out. My wallet will be happy.

 

I probably wont sit out but nothing jumps out at me enough to jump on a preorder this weekend, might hang for a bit to see if tmobile offers me any upgrade special deals around the holidays.

 

I have a 12 Pro, so no reason to upgrade, but I do have an AW Series 4 that still works like a charm. But I think I'll wait until the SE version of the Series 7 comes out.

But no I do agree. I’m going to go from a 256GB X to a 128GB 13 Pro because it’s impossible for me to fill it.

 

Weird that the 12 Pro Max had camera advantages over the 12 Pro, but the 13 Pro Max and 13 Pro camera systems are identical.

 

I much prefer the "both are the same, you pick the size" because it makes me not have regrets or second guess (not getting this phone year, but in general).

 

Yup, completely agree. If I’m getting a “Pro” model, I don’t want my preferred screen size to determine whether I miss out on features or not

 

Damn, cinematic mode only goes to 1080p? I was hoping for 4K 24fps.

 

I’m just more confused on why they didn’t just make them the same camera systems last year, ha.

 

I'm tempted to upgrade to the new pro from my 11 pro and trade in my iPad Pro 2019 for the new mini. Hmm...

 

yeah no reason to upgrade my 12 pro this year since i don't take hardly any pictures. that green apple watch 7 tho will be mine

 

I'm on Apple's upgrade every year plan so there's not really a reason for me NOT to, but i'm pretty meh on them. I always get the pro models but i'm not camera savvy enough to really appreciate some of these camera features. 120 Hz display will be nice though.

 

I'll stick with my 11 another year. Very underwhelming event.

I like the new iPad mini, though.

 

Looking forward to buying a mini in a year or two when they are reasonable.

 

Having a better and more capable camera than the X and 120Hz is pretty huge for me, I really hope I can get one of these.

 

I'm an old school mp3 collector so the 1 TB Iphone Max will probably be my jam but won't need one for a few years.
