This week's Slasher was pretty fucking gory. Loved it. Not sure I'm liking the direction of the story though.

Just watched Pumpkinhead, it's always better than I expect it to be, and perfect for the late late summer almost fall season.

Malignant was so good holy shit. Can’t believe how hard James went for it.

Somehow missed all the Malignant talk this weekend and finally got around to throwing it on.

WHAT THE FUCK!?!? It is insane that this exists as a major studio release!

Phantasm 3 was a blast and Don Coscarelli certainly has a formula for these movies (storytelling in front of a fire, car chase and flip, one topless scene, etc.) but I love getting a little more backstory on The Tall Man with each subsequent entry. This series is solid and I wish 2 was more readily available

I remember when I was younger I tried finding them EVERYWHERE. It was crazy that I could really only watch 1 & 4.

I have Phantasm II on one of those multi movie DVDs with Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse, The Serpent and the Rainbow, and a snake movie called Sssssss

That sounds like a really great combo haha. Sssss seems too good to be true. I haven't seen The Serpent and the Rainbow but want to.

  17. I got the Phantasm 5-pack. Ravager is...pretty rough. But I love that series so much, even with the decline in quality.

The Serpent and the Rainbow is on my list as well.

I want to read it but I've heard it leans too heavy on the romance so I keep putting it off lol

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Malignant fucking ruled. Also was I the only one thinking “this doesn’t end well for the detective. How have you not seen Seven?” when Keh was doing his almost scene for scene chase of Gabriel like Brad Pitt haha. Gabriel even makes a comment later on like what if I had stabbed you in the face? And I’m still thinking Kevin Spacey - “oh. And I seem to remember breaking your face”
