The parkway drive us tour was officially cancelled. They are working on a new tour to replace it apparently

 

Thursday cancelled their Pensacola show

 

Was that the one with Hatebreed and Fit For A King and whatnot? Feels like that tour has been announced forever lol

 

Yes it was announced like early 2020 if I recall correctly

 

So another update to this- it appears every HOB Orlando show until at least 9/24 has been either postponed, cancelled, or moved to another venue. The Molly Ringwalds were supposed to play tonight and they posted a few days ago that it was postponed indefinitely and that it was out of their hands. Their tour still continues this weekend so it's definitely not a band issue. Another latina artist was supposed to play last night and she had posted that the venue had to "cease all operations" but gave no other details. I know they've had shows recently, including one a couple nights ago. I wonder if this has to do with them deciding to implement a vax/negative test policy a couple weeks ago.

 

Sheesh, no wonder The Fest is a shitshow. Seems like Florida venues everywhere are having insane difficulties

The comments here are straight up crazy. People paid +1K for VIP, special parking and other perks and couldn't even get in the festival. This is bad. real bad.

 

I bet festivals, particularly those in harder hit areas, are still having trouble finding workers which leads to disorganization and poor planning. Sounds like an absolute shitshow.

The comments in this group are horrifying and amazing simultaneously. I feel for those who spent money on this shitshow and are dealing with it on the ground, but it's like watching a car crash happen. You can't take your eyes off it.

 

This sounds a lot like one of the venue employees tested positive and they might not have enough staff to run the venue (or want to take a risk with other staff being already exposed and passing it to artists and attendees). Just a guess though. 9/24 would be exactly two weeks from now, which is how long they recommended you quarantine.

I was supposed to be there

 

I bought a ticket for only yesterday to catch Spiritbox and The Ghost Inside, and I’m super glad I didn’t buy tickets for all four. Wait times for food and drinks were up to 2 hours. Sinks and soap dispensers were out by late day, people were turned away at the gates and while parking, and people with disabilities were unable to park close and had to travel for a while with wheelchairs and walkers. I left right before Breaking Benjamin to beat traffic and head back to Wilmington, NC, and I’m glad I did. Don’t give a fuck how much tickets are for DWP/AEG fests are next year because that’s where I’ll be going. Avoid that Blue Ridge shit like the plague, peeps.

 

I'm hoping Aftershock isn't like this. I know it's a DWP fest and it's more organized but since it's the first aftershock since covid, it seems a lot of fests and venues don't have their shit together yet.

 

My wife just won us VIP tickets with sound check to Angels and Airwaves next month. So our weekend’s starting off pretty good.

i saw jeremy zucker and chelsea cutler thrsday night in stamford ct at a park had to be vaccaniated or negative test and it was 21+ so lot of drinking and didn't have to wear masks so no one who came wore one they also checked ids too

 

If you have the chance to see Coheed and The Used on this tour… DO IT!

How was The Used? At my show I thought they were kinda weak but Coheed killed it out there.

 

The Used absolutely killed it last night. I know they can be very hit or miss though
