I'll be straight up with yall, that Devil Wears Prada is like one of my fav metalcore albums of all time lol. Idk if that's a hot take.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

TDWP improved every album and turned into an incredibly solid band, they’re one of the few from that scene to actually improve and adapt

They were great when I saw em live years ago too. Saw them with Architects when Hollow Crown was just released, fuck man I miss those days.

By the time I finished the story for Tsushima I only had 4-5 trophies left to get the platinum. Only took another hour to get them all.

I like TDWP’s albums up to Zombie EP. After Zombie I haven’t enjoyed their music as much. Plagues, WRAABB and Zombie are top tier metalcore albums.

Yeah it's just tons of collecting, it's fun to collect but I'm a day in and it still feels like I'm less than halfway through collecting everything. It does help that collecting it feels natural with the story though.

Honestly loved every second of platinum’ing that game. Just hours and hours of running around beautiful Tsushima chasing foxes around and composing haikus near incredible landscapes.

Best part of Iki island is they added monkeys and cats.

I know this is a stale take but I truly can't comprehend people who like to plat everything. There's a part of me that wishes I could get so immersed into a game that I want to 100% it, but the other bigger part of me wants to finish the game timely so I can move onto something else.

Just collecting absolutely everything sounds so tedious to me! I'm not even knocking it I just wonder the reasoning for people who love to play games, please enlighten me.

I have one foot in and one foot out of this lake. I totally get the mentality, because some of my favorite games growing up were N64-era platformers, that thrived on collecting stuff. It's that same kind of goal-oriented thought-process.

That being said, I will draw the line on certain achievements I'm not likely to get, like ones that are heavily based on multiplayer or ones that are super grindy.

Example: I have one achievement left in the first Hyperdimension Neptunia, and it would involve me buying and selling items for an eternity to make a certain amount of profit, and that's not fun to me. I suppose maybe I'll get it one day if I replay the game enough, but I have no inclination to actively seek it out.

Tsushima is varied and beautiful enough to justify riding around looking for Fox dens or haiku spots or whatever. And as others said they’re tied into the main story in such a way that you almost have all the trophies done by the time you finish the game. I feel like finishing a game should get you the platinum or close to it. I hate when games have trophies that are like “kill 100 enemies with the shitty knife you start with” like I spent the first part of the game immediately trying to upgrade my weapons why would I fight 100 enemies with a base weapon?? But ultimately trophies don’t matter and mileage varies from person to person

Something about having a game "uncompleted" just feels weird for me personally so I like to go back and finish it off via trophies/achievements. But also I am with you on just wanting to finish the "story" and as stated below I land here as well. Don't really know how to explain it, I just know my brain is weird

I used to 100% games but then I realized my backlog got super backed up

now I just ignore games completely

Looking for a game to get into before Deathloop, and seeing you jump into HK has given me the push the finally boot it up after putting it off for so long despite multiple friends of mine begging me to play it. Cheers.

You won't regret it, like a couple people mentioned earlier, if you have no idea where tf to go or what you should be doing early on, set your gamer pride aside and checkout a guide.
