Yea ts out there already….I dunno songs sound excatly like the last album to me.Nothing really stands out but nothings really bad.I feel like I’ve heard “Devil has many faces” bunch of times before from these guys.Could be filler on any album….I wish they made an another Coming Home.

They’ll never write another Coming Home. Closest well ever get is Makes Me Sick. Wish they would have just expanded on that sound.

    Things have changed.

Every time they do something slightly cool and forward thinking for them, they follow it up with just heavy-handed regression. This far into a career, a little bit of sustained fearlessness wouldn't kill them.

I think they just want to write pop-punk songs at this point, and that's okay

Dear NFG, please ask Ryan Key to help write (or ghost write) on your next album and have him serve as the album producer. Get him in there these to share guest vocal duties on a track too.

I think this combo would work great because he’s already so in with the band from being a touring member, and I think he could steer them towards a more mature record. I’m not saying Coning Home 2, but maybe NFG could find their “Southern Air”.

I’m gonna listen to these deluxe tracks, although I do still feel they could have released them as a new separate EP at this point.

I get that people want progression/maturity from these guys but it's NFG. I keep lowering my expectations for each release and find myself enjoying the music. Does that make sense? Not at all haha. But it works for me.

I think it’s the lyrics often feeling juvenile.

    Things have changed.

With how bad this album was, they should do literally anything else but this again.

I thought it sucked, but they seem happy with it, and I’d never want any band to make music they aren’t happy making

It seems like every NFG thread someone makes a comment about wanting them to go back to the Coming Home sound...Is that really their most loved album??

on this site it is, but Sticks and Stones is definitely their breakout and biggest album in general. Easily my favorite from them

How has running been for you during the pandemic? I wish I could say my mileage skyrocketed but it did the opposite. Once races disappeared in 2020, so did all motivation.

My favourite is the Coming Home era, but it’s because they built up to it so naturally with some great pop punk records before it (with Self Titled, Stick and Stones and Catalyst). Also, it felt like they weren’t trying to make the same record over again and those “boy likes a girl” songs turned into straight up love (metaphor) songs. The lyrics sort of matured with the fans maturing.

They does take away from Selt Titled putting on the map, Sticks and Stones pushing them into a bigger semi mainstream audience and Catalyst establish a bit of staying power.

For me, no album has topped the CH era, but I think it’s hard because it doesn’t feel like they are trying to (in terms of record objective).
