That's a lot of talent in one room

 

First show I'll have been to since COVID. Really excited to be able to catch Battlemaster again since they're not really a full time band these days.

 

Yeah I'm not going to an indoor concert for the foreseeable future; maybe an outdoor show, but nothing indoors

 

Would have totally made the drive out for this if I wasn't finding out about it from this post especially with it being outside. I haven't seen Battlemaster in years, and Left Cross is one of my favorite RVA bands at the moment.

 

Agreed on both counts. Last time I saw Battlemaster was like '08/'09 and for a while there I honestly just assumed I never would again.

 

It's been 2009ish for me. I legit cannot remember when I last saw them other than the fact it happened.

Left Cross was in 2019 with Iron Reagan and Red Death at the Taphouse in Norfolk. Good show and great venue. Makes me wish we had more places like that in the 757...I'm looking at you Riffhouse.

 

Very well could have been the same show lol. If I'm remembering right I don't think they've ever really taken the band seriously enough to play that regularly. Mine was either opening for Municipal Waste or Iron Lung & Coliseum at Canal Club. I want to say it was the former, but all 4 bands might have even been the same show, honestly.

And that's one hell of a lineup for that LC show.

this isn't a new or even new-to-me record but i've been playing gateways to annihilation by morbid angel a lot lately because it is the best album ever

 

New Maggot Stomp signing. I'm trying to figure out if I love or hate the guitar tone on this.

 

I love it.

 

It's very well written angry shit, which I'm down for - but something about it just sounds off to me. Can't put my finger on it.

Somebody more in tune with the death match scene in wrestling might get some of these references a bit more, but here's some solid Agoraphobic Nosebleed style grind.
