Not so impossible then are they?

 

Tom Cruise is impossible.

 

They aren’t called Movie Impossible

 

Rewatching MI2; man, this film is trash

 

Can’t fucking wait. I bet Tom cruise was in that train.

 

I bet he did something that the rest of us would have thought impossible

 

like it was a mission he had to complete no matter what

 

while being disavowed by the US government

If Bond gets delayed again I swear to god.

 

Delaying Mission: Impossible out of summer 2022 at this stage makes zero sense.

 

I don’t think they’ll push it back again. They can at least lean on the international box office, finally get it out and call it good.

 

I am unhappy

 

Are they that pessimistic of not getting enough people into theaters in the US in November for this? Or is it probably more regarding fears of it's worldwide releases, of Delta still impacting crowds to a large enough degree in other country to prevent them from releasing it this November?

 

Well, Top Gun is taking its release date; they don't want the two movies competing against each other. Unless you think the audiences don't have any overlap?

Frankly, I'm kind of unsure what audience this new Top Gun is intended for.

 

If this is just COVID related, I would have moved Top Gun to September because who cares about that. But if it's because M:I actually won't be ready in time for May because of production delays, then it makes more sense.

 

My guess is both of those movies are gonna require Tom Cruise to do a lot of international press and they want to give him a little break in between.

 

If there’s one person on earth who never needs a break, it’s Tom Cruise

 

The infuriating part is they delayed filming mission impossible 8 so Cruise could do press for a movie that’s now delayed. I hope this doesn’t push 8 back too far
