I still play that game from time to time. Really hope that when the court case is settled they attempt to make a Friday the 13th the game part II.

But I love all three franchises. We need a new Freddy movie

Child’s Play and TCM belong in the conversation, but the latter has a few really bad entries

Out of all the reboots, NOES is definitely the worst. Did not like at all.

And if we’re actually talking best slashers ever, and not just comparing those three, then Scream actually wins.

  7. The more I think about it, the more F13 is my favorite of the franchises. Feel a lot more likely to throw one of those on at random as a comfort or background movie than Halloween, which I'm either watching one of the better ones and actually paying attention to or just rewatching the franchise as a whole.

Scream always slips my mind and I have no idea why, but yeah, it’s probably my favorite of the bunch.

Can’t wait for the new one

I like Scream 1, 2 and 4 are alright, but 3 is not good from what I remember.

  10. Scream and Scream 2 are great. Scream 4 and Scream 3 are good, but more like nostalgic junk food flicks. Good series overall.

the Scream franchise is great for the most part but I guess I need my slashers to be on some weird shit and not just a guy or girl in a costume. I like those movies a lot but what separates them from the aforementioned films is that those killers are ostensibly dead or undead or whatever. that's just way creepier to me

I love all 4 and I love pretty much all of Craven’s work.

I’d rank the Scream series below Friday and Halloween but above NOES

One thing that always bothered me about Jason Goes To Hell is that guy who has way too much knowledge of Jason that he really shouldn't legitimately know and the movie never explains it. I always felt there was a whole story there that the movie just chose to ignore, and I remain disappointed that it was never followed up on.

if we’re doing overall franchises, my list would be a lot different than the OG films

I'm bad and haven't watched TCM as an adult. TCM along with Carrie and Rosemary's Baby made me feel really weird as a kid and I think I've subconsciously avoided the since. I'm definitely going to try to get through all of them in this year.

As far as the franchises as a whole go I'm having a hard time reconciling my longtime love of Halloween with my recent infatuation with Friday. I fully admit F13 has a better hit rate than Halloween, but I love Halloween so much. Nightmare is a distant 3rd though I really can't stand 4, 5, or Freddy's Dead.

I agree with whoever said it's almost more of a seasonal thing. I'm more likely to throw on an F13, but if it's September or October I'm definitely going with a Halloween.

  25. My list for franchises would be the same aside from Friday overtaking Halloween. I'd throw Child's Play in third in both instances.
