Given all the hype I was really hoping it leaned more into horror. It was still creative and really well done, so it was certainly worth the watch.

  3. Man, second viewing, Night of the Creeps is right up there with Return of the Living Dead for near-perfect 80s horror-comedy schlock. So much fun.

  5. Is it necessary to have seen the first one?

    I would say so yeah.

Also the first one is great and it's free with ads on Peacock

Hell yes. Night of the Creeps rules. Did a Night of the Creeps, Night of the Demons, and Night of the Comet triple feature last year and it was great.

    Is Scream Queens worth watching?

If you like American Horror Story then yes, very similar vibes and sense of humor

Hmm, okay. I’ve only seen one season of AHS in full and thought it was okay. (I think it was the first.)

Speaking of American Horror Story, the scene of Adam Levine spitting on his hand is genuinely the grossest thing I have ever seen on television. Especially because you just KNOW that was his decision.

Way better than any season of AHS in my opinion, it’s a gem

Scream Queens is great. Way more of a comedy than anything AHS has done

  17. Watched 1992 Candyman, idk what to take away from it re: race. I'm hoping this year's sequel is more morally/thematically coherent/relevant in the hands of black creators.

Welp, turns out I couldn't resist the folk horror box set.

Went with a tik tok recommendation of Ghost in the Machine. Perfect blend of 80s craziness and early 90s cyber nonsense.

    Hoping for a blu-ray edition.

Night of the Creeps is the best! It was pure nightmare fuel for years when I was a kid!

Watched The Lost Boys for the first time since I was a kid. Extremely fun and not talked about enough. It’s weird and dumb as hell but knows (almost) exactly what it is. Feldman’s put-on voice had us dying the entire time.

  23. Vicious Fun is, well, a lot of fun

Bill Lustig’s Vigilante was more grimy NYC schlock and I loved it.

Watched Bram Stoker's Dracula last night. Did not expect it to be so horny. What a weird ass movie, Coppola was having some fun. Some legit creepy imagery too.
