Its doubly weird because if you look at where Millennials and Gen Z lean... its hard to see how the right will have a chance to win anything in 30 years. But then also, at both the rate their are destroying democracy plus the rate at which we're destroying this planet who knows if this country will even exist in 30 years.

Now on essentially a three week plateau for cases so all the hope for a quick dropoff like in the UK (albeit only briefly there) seems like it's not happening for whatever reason

Yeah cases are creeping back up in the UK (they didn't actually come down significantly, they hovered around 25k/day). And we're averaging about 100 deaths a day. My guess is there's lot of complacency due to the vaccine, lots of pandemic fatigue, and of course our government has stopped pretending to care altogether.

 

Idk where else to post this, but this is a bad idea.

I had to pick up meds at Walgreens. There was a guy there getting his first dose. They only had Moderna. He was like “oh, that ones not approved by the FDA yet” The tech explained it’s authorized for emergency use. He asked “and it’s the same kind of vaccine?”. When she answered yes, he himhawed for a second but agreed to it. I was SHOCKED. Haha

Honest question here for anyone who feels willing to share. Are you expecting an inheritance at some point either from your parents or grandparents?

 

i think my grandma has some kind of life insurance policy she set up in her will for me and my two brothers for when she passes but my parents have nothing

My grandmother apparently had some pretty hefty life insurance policies that she changed very late in life when she was getting bad dementia. My great uncle apparently gave away a shitton of money too.

My dad inherited my mom mom/pop pops house with his two brothers. But then he got remarried and none of us know if they got a pre nup or what my dads will is gonna say (hopefully he has one), and it’s also complicated by the fact that my uncle lives on the same piece of property and owns at least a quarter of it. As long as it stays in the family that’s all I care about.
