Out of the loop for Gamescom. How big do people expect this to be?

I actually started it up last night to see if it holds up.

VERY impressed by it at first glance, played for maybe 30 minutes. Game does not feel as old as it in the slightest. Really cool game that I will 100% finish before I play second now.

 

the Opening Night Live thing will probably be like around 90 minutes, maybe between 90-110 minutes.

I missed the FFVIIR love, that game plays like butttta,

All of Square's missteps trying to do a hybrid of action and turnbased since XIII trilogy really paid off. It's like a perfect balance, it fires on all cylinders for me.

also not to be snobby, but the metamodern commentary about the legacy of the game and the expectations of fans and the cast's growing awareness of their Fate (and Aerith and Sephiroth's knowledge of it) with the time janitors is GREAT

 

Yeah I just replayed the final battle to unlock NG+ (I didn't save the right file on PS4 I guess) It is so fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkking cool seeing all the little 'future' cutscenes. Just a tremendous and original idea. Seeing meteor up in the sky, Cloud dropping Aerith into the water after dying. All that shit. Aerith getting to stay alive is the most feel good shit ever in gaming lore lol.
