If both bills have to fail, then so be it. The bipartisan infrastructure bill is a watered-down nothing bill anyway, the reconciliation bill is where the real changes are. Without that, it's no big loss if the bipartisan bill fails.

I agree that the bipartisan bill isn't really a good enough bill to be passed on it's own. But from the perspective of both keeping Congress and actually doing something good for the American people, this is probably the best opportunity in my lifetime. I think there's a good chance that getting nothing done is what happens, but it would be a catastrophic failure for a party that seemed to finally realize that they needed to go big and bold rather than cowering in fear to the Republicans. We shall see though

Should just mandate the vaccine not allow them to get tested. Or make them pay for the testing then or something.

There is so much more to Indian food than curry. Takes two seconds of research to figure that out. It is wild how different each state of India is in comparison with others from language to cuisine.

I don’t like Indian food at all but it’s obviously like, valid and varied from a culinary perspective lol. And even then there’s some things I’ve had at Indian places I do like. Just overall not a fan.

It's almost like how a lot of Americans think of Chinese food as American Chinese food, then if they get past that it mainly seems to be thought of as only Szechuan Chinese.

In general though I don’t have any real culinary hang ups and will give anything a try. Like if I were in a country where they eat something that’s like, out of bounds in the west, I would have no problems trying it

I work at a company with a lot of Indian folks and there this one lady that before the pandemic was always making Indian food for me to try. It was wild how she could make something as simple as like carrots with spices seem so much more than what it was. Also Indian desserts are low key great and seems to be a big deal for certain holidays.

I’ve recently have had that as my go-to at Indian restaurants. My girlfriend always orders mutter paneer. There’s a Indian grocery store about 30 minutes from us that we’ve gone to and buy “heat & eat” meals.

I love Indian food and consider it one of my comfort foods and as an avid homecook who tries to make and emulate everything i eat, it is certainly not just '1 spice' and '1 sauce' - trust me, i have spent a stupid amount buying random ingredients to try to make authentic dishes and not just grabbing McCormick's curry powder. Not to mention all the street foods and appetizers that you can get that vary depending on what region of India you're eating from. That's like saying you hate Italian food and it's all exactly the same because alfredo and carbonara, are both cream sauces and you don't like cream.

Why couldn't the dude just say I don't like Indian food because it's not my flavor? Normally people accept that you don't like something but don't like when you rant about it to an unreasonable degree.

There's no cream in carbonara or alfredo, but I see what you're saying.

Well, the obvious answer is that we have incentivized showing your whole ass online for clicks. Social media has elevated the sports radio model above all.

I just used the first 2 that came to mind that were 'creamy' from my recollection but you're correct. I think (at least a lot of at home recipes) for alfredo use heavy cream, but totally wrong on carbonara and apparently it's a big sin and no-no/point of contention to Italians when people add cream. OOPS!
