Maybe I should splurge on tickets this time, since it's not clear what the next big tour is going to be.

I'm gonna try for them, but yeah probably will sell fast or be too expensive, so setting my expectations accordingly

 

Bought two $75 tickets only to find an email a minute later stating they cancelled my order lol

I gave up because it didn't even say how many people were waiting ahead of me or how long it would take haha

 

It was so good, man. Whatever you're spending it's worth it.

 

I’m just going to wait until the 2022 tour. I’ve listened to Springsteen on Broadway a hundred times, but I cannot splurge on it right now.

 

Always a sad day to be reminded that Clarence has been gone ten years.

My dad has seen Springsteen like 27 times in his life. I’m forever sad I never got to see Clarence play in the band.

Went to see Squirrel Flower this past weekend and she closed her set with a Bruce cover!

I really enjoyed that piece, and it was a pleasant surprise seeing it as a the Sunday review. I think Born in the U.S.A. tends to get underrated by Bruce fans because of how commercial it was, so I loved seeing someone really delve into some of the things that make it more interesting and special than might meet the eye.

 

One of the very few albums I don't skip a single song on

 

Side 2 especially is gold. I wrote about this album a few years ago and why I love it so much. There's a lot of nostalgia and friendship in those side 2 songs, and those themes always really resonated with me.

I have incredibly fond memories of the album too - My dear dad who passed away last year loved it, and I grew up hearing it on numerous car journeys and Sunday afternoons

One of my favourite memories is watching Bruce in Manchester stood next to my dad - the first time either of us had seen him live and him coming out to 'No Surrender'

Just magic.

 

Sorry to hear about your loss. "No Surrender" is a song that means a lot to me, for a lot of reasons. Kind of wild to know Bruce almost didn't put it on the record!
