They're just requesting, which solves nothing because some people still won't do it and go anyway.

 

and if they show up with nothing maybe they get turned away and not allowed in like lolla was doing. i think its all gonna be on the venues and how strict they are. plus the venues might have their own rules and require them regardless

 

It says nothing about enforcement though. They're just asking people, on their honor, to get vaccinated or test negative before coming. There won't be a blanket enforcement ... specific venues might have their own rules, sure, but the tour as a whole is not requiring anything. It's a slight but important distinction.

Without strong enforcement, a lot of idiots will still get through.

 

The venues need to step up, it’s probably hard for a big tour like Sad Summer to enforce anything on such short notice.

 

my first show back came quicker than I expected thanks to this surprise drop. Will linger in the back as I'm still a bit nervous ...

 

the only reason not to require people to be vaxxed to attend shows is money. the idea that it's "too difficult" for a venue to enforce is stupid. if they can enforce the drinking age, or 18+ shows, then they can enforce this

 

I’m sure certain venues in certain parts of the country aren’t enforcing anything due to local politics. It’s sucks that this whole thing has been politicized to death.

 

yeah, that's true, but the idea that it's impossible to enforce really just amounts to "we don't want to have to deal with difficult people"

 

That’s definitely true. All of these tours should have been vax only from the beginning. Doing this all at the last moment is making things more difficult than they needed to be.

Went to Chris Stapleton tonight. Ellie King was direct support, an 8.5 month pregnant Elle. An hour before show time she announced she tested positive for flu and was told to leave the tour for her and the baby’s well being.

You can tested for the flu? I learn something new every day.
