Oh man I was gonna get the long sleeve alien head shirt but the alien head is on the BACK of the shirt and the front is the band name / album title. Disapponting.

Could not possibly love this song more. Going to be a great record.

ngl this band has never really clicked with me but the new single is doing it for me. The Circa Survive comparison is spot on instrumentally speaking. Definitely leans into some proggy post-hardcore.

cool single. never been overly enthused about this band but I’ve always liked them.

Listening now. I actually really liked AF, but it didn’t seem to get a lot of traction here.

Always Foreign ruled. All three of their LPs are fantastic.

Always Foreign was pretty different for them, so I could see the divisiveness.

AF feels more like a continuation of WIE than harmlessness does imo

    beautiful and chequered, the end

I love AF mostly cause it’s the closest they’ve gone to just being broken social scene. Has some of my all time favs from them (Hilltopper, marine tigers) but I understand people not being into it after harmlessness.

Harmlessness was such a lighting in the bottle moment that it’s near impossible to immediately follow up

We reach for the longest shadow

This makes a lot of sense because Harmlessness is really the only record of theirs I love up until this point.

Good shout on the BSS comparison. At this point of being a TWIABP fan, I think I enjoy Harmlessness and AF pretty much equally. Two stunning records imo.

I've been thinking about this comment (I totally agree) as I've listened a few more times and it also gives me strong Mars Volta "De-loused in the Comatorium" vibes and I love it

the more I listen the more it sounds like the receiving end of sirens to me which is one of the best scene bands of all time
