The Rays absolutely have the depth to cover the loss of Glasnow and have been doing it since June. Archer has had a great rehab in AAA. I just wonder who gets the ball in a one-off wildcard game.

I really think they give it to a veteran though. It would be bold to give it to Shane. His stuff would play the best in that situation, but I think the staff would worry about him limiting the mistakes and go to someone less electric but more composed.

 

And honestly, whoever it is, they will throw 4 (maybe 5) innings and then it will be:
-Kittredge
-Rasmussen/Thompson (if he’s healthy)
-Chargois/Wisler
-Anderson (come back soon Nick!)
