Weird show tonight. The setlist is solid and the band is very very good, but Conor is a little rough. Granted, he’s generally always been a little rough, but in 10ish shows I’ve never seen him forget lyrics like tonight. His between song banter was also a bit downtrodden, hope he is doing alright.

Not a bad show by any means, but pretty different vibe than BOCC just 2-3 years ago.

 

i didn't get an email but i guess the Atlanta date was postponed

 

him worrying about his voice holding out all tour makes me feel even luckier to catch him tonight.

 

Wonder how much sense it makes for artist to consider holding “vaxed only” shows. Prove your vaccination prior to entry etc. more pressure needs to be put on the fools holding out & holding the world back

 

this album is good to very good but gosh the rhythm section (and many of the arrangements) is phenomenal

 

Folks going to Forest Hills tonight, looks like an early one

 

Unfortunately people and leadership in this country don't have the discipline nor the systems in place to actually do a lockdown, so all that's going to happen is that certain artists who care will cancel/postpone their shows, while idiots continue on as normal.

California/New York might re-institute shelter in place orders, but nowhere else, especially not in the South.

The US has decided to live and die by the vaccine, without having a strong unified strategy for convincing vaccine holdouts. "Personal freedom and responsibility" strikes again.

no it's frustrating when everyone is talking about "another lockdown" when that isn't happening and we never had a real one anyway because it wasn't national, and fearmongering doesn't help anyone

Why the fuck does the venue send a "know before you go" email the day before saying the event starts at 6 when they have Lucy going on at 5:45?

it was probably originally supposed to be 6 7 and 8 but Bright Eyes needed a bit longer for their set but I agree it's weird that it's last minute

 

Where do you see that it's instead and not in addition to? She posted a few things today on her Instagram story from Forest Hills.

 

Forest Hills probably also has noise restrictions since its right in the middle of a neighborhood. The show probably has to be done and closed by 10oclock. But the venue has to be used to that, so its still weird that they seemed to botch the times they put out.

 

Thanks. I didn't realize there was another show scheduled for tomorrow and thought you meant she was doing something tomorrow instead of being on today's. Glad today's is unaffected.

 

ugh we talked about but didn’t bring our vax cards with us traveling for tonight’s show. would have loved to have gone to the lucy show tomorrow too. it says they’ll accept a picture of it. do y’all think if i figured out a way for someone to find our cards and send us a picture of them they’d let us in just showing our phones at the door?

 

I imagine they would as long as you showed id, I hope so because I saved mine to Google Docs with the hope that when it's needed I can just pull up the copy on my phone because those babies don't fit in your wallet
