title track is certainly in the upper tier here, but I'm not like.... blown away by it. First half just sounds like 8 without pitched vocals, and while the vibe switch is cool, it doesn't really do a ton with it.

 

Didn't love the opening track, but I Didn't Change My Number rules and Billie Bossa Nova is so nice

 

I’m not really sure I understand the appeal. But to each their own!

I don’t understand the appeal of the songs and I suppose this new genre of music, but recognize others may feel differently

i can see the appeal of Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Adele, Ariana, etc. I’d say this is a little different.

I mean, all of those artists are a little different from each other, I don't really think this is that "out there," songs like "My Future" and "Your Power," even "Therefore I Am" are pretty straightforward songwriting

 

Idk I just don't think it's necessary to come into a thread and say you don't see the appeal for an artist that is popular unless you're looking for us to change your view on her music.

 

Anyways GOLDWING is beautiful and wild. Lost Cause is working for me more in context.

 

It's definitely less immediate and, let's say radio-friendly than When We All fall Asleep, but the songwriting definitely feels more mature. Only (minor) complaint so far is that this def feels like a winter record to me

 

I’m open to having my mind changed! If there are a few particular songs I may not have heard.

It's not though? Billie is different than all of those artist who are all different from each other.

 

OverHeated is so good. Man. I was a little worried about this one but really into this so far. Really diverse and a slow burn in the best way. Gonna have to keep an eye out for the vinyl (if it's available in stores yet)

 

Honestly surprised you're finding it diverse, that's one of the last words I would use for the album

 

Lost Cause sounds much better in context
