I just can’t find Chucky scary. I’d punt that brat across the room like c’mon.

Original Child's Play and curse of chucky I found pretty scary

I'm here for this just because of how bonkers it all looks. Chucky just casually letting people know he's going to go kill people like he's just borrowing a cup of sugar is the kind of warped bonkers shit I can get behind.

I'm also down for this since it promises to include almost every major character in this series. I admire the fact that Child's Play has gone on for so long that Dourif got his daughter involved in the franchise and the original actor who played Andy as a kid is able to reprise his role as an adult. It's just cool to me the level of continuity they've been able to keep over time.

Yeah, Chucky has never scared me either. Slappy from Goosebumps used to though

When I was young, the video rental place my family used had a giant cutout of Chucky trying to cut off a jack in the box's head with scissors to promote Child's Play 2, which scared the shit out of me.

It didn't help that my sister noticed this and decided to start hiding Chucky bookmarks in my magazines to slowly drive me insane.

It came to a head when they had a Child's Play marathon on TV and my sister forbid me from leaving the room until it was over.

And that's how I became a Chucky fan.

I could probably take Chucky and Annabelle but also I don't see how anyone could look at those dolls and think friend and not creepy af, possessed or not haha

The only Child’s Play I’ve seen is Child’s Play 2. I woke up one night when I was like 10 and it was on tv so I watched the whole thing because I liked the lead actress in it. Just found Chucky to be annoying even at a young age.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually really enjoyed Child’s Play (2019)

  16. All of the Child's Play/Chucky films are fun at bare minimum with some really great entries (the first two, Curse, and Cult). The only outlier in terms of being kind of boring/not really working for me one way or another is Child's Play 3.

I enjoy that there are a handful of both serious and campy entries in the franchise.

I must be one of the few that actually really enjoyed Child's Play 3. Just the concept of Andy having grown and using his knowledge of Chucky to protect another kid seemed novel to me at the time.

    I had a blast with them. I’d probably go 2 > 1 > 3, but 1 and 3 are super close for me

I'm not scared of Annabelle because she never does anything she just is places randomly and then they look away and then she's not there

The other ghosts/demons do all the actual scaring (which is still debatable)

Never been a big fan of the NOES series. The first film is good but the rest just get too weird for my liking. Halloween and Friday the 13th are my prime slasher series.
