Yeah, but there's less focus on stuff from Mania and American Beauty. I think it's because the set is more succinct than their headliners.

 

Can’t speak for any venue specifically…but TM is now doing dynamic pricing (like airlines) so the prices will go up and down based on how the show is selling…in my experience in only very rare instances do shows sell out these stadiums at the full price they start at…I’d say it’s likely thought that whether through the second hand market or TM itself , prices will go down closer to the show

 

Fenway doesn't use Ticketmaster, so I wouldn't expect the dynamic pricing there. Also, its capacity is several thousand seats less than Citizens Bank Park in Philly; I imagine that, percentage-wise, there are fewer seats to sell there. CBP looks like it's sold roughly 80-85% of its seats for the show. I would think that the percentage for Fenway would be higher at this point. Could be wrong, though.

 

I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to properly describe how fucking emotional Still Breathing was last night. I think more then any other moment in the whole show…after the last year and a half and waiting so long to see live music again…that one got me the most.

 

Woah. Weezer’s stage set-up is insane. All those kick drums LOL

 

Yeah I think Weezer won as far as staging goes. FOB’s was a cool idea but it was a little out there.

 

Holy shit I am so fucking excited for this, especially now that it's started. Weezer and Green Day basically nailed it as far as a super crowd-pleasing setlist that's required for a tour like this goes (FOB still has too much post-hiatus stuff for my taste) and the production looks nuts

 

Weezer played the most new stuff. FOB had only 2 songs off AB/AP and 1 off MANIA, and Green Day played Pollyanna and nothing off FOAMF, and only 1 off Rev Rad. It was very much a Greatest Hits/fan favorites night.

I was super excited to see Pollyanna live but the crowd absolutely DIED when they played it 4th in the set. I honestly would have swapped it out with Father Of All.

If FOB had dropped Irresistible and played Stay Frosty, and if Weezer had played Perfect Situation, it would have literally been the perfect night for me

 

Someone already posted the entire 1 hour 40 min full Green Day set on Youtube. These bands work hard but the internet works harder.

What was the final duration for Weezer and FOB's set? Was it 60 minutes? 30 minutes between sets?

Correct. Set times were as follows...

5:30-6:00 - The Interrupters
6:30-7:30 - Weezer
8:00-9:00 - Fall Out Boy
9:30-11:10 - Green Day

 

Looks like sales will be pretty good on this tour as well. Ngl when it was first announced pre-pandemic I thought the stadiums were a bit ambitious but glad I was proven wrong!

 

Man it was wild being in a crowd that size again

 

Also it’s kinda funny that Green Day only played about 5 less songs than on the Rev Rad tour (21 vs 26) but the show was almost an hour shorter because they just PLAYED the songs instead of dragging them out. It was very refreshing.

I wasn't there but just from seeing pictures of the crowd, its hard to believe this actually happened.

 

For whatever reason, that hasn't been a consistent even though it was a big single. Even when I saw Green Day in 1998, they only played 3 songs off Insomniac.

I've seen GD four times but have still somehow never seen Welcome to Paradise live, hopefully it stays on the setlist lol

 

I can't recall how many times I've seen it live, but it was literally the first song I ever saw Green Day play live! At Warped Tour 2000, Billie-Joe basically ran on-stage playing the opening riff and I remember being like, 16 and just being so stoked. Hah.

So I really hope they keep that in the setlist for you (as well as for my own, selfish reasons haha).

The good news is that with bigger tours like this, a song like that will probably stay in the mix as I'm sure the crowd response was huge.

 

Same thing when I saw them at Warped in 2000. They also played "The Grouch" for Fat Mike which was awesome.

 

I just noticed that the Milwaukee date (which I'm going to) is between two California dates and The Interrupters aren't on it. I was looking forward to seeing them, but that could mean longer set times for everyone else. Also, I can't imagine they're flying the stage setup out for one show.

 

The routing in this tour was weird since the beginning. I dont understand how that works

 

The Milwaukee date is in an amphitheater so most likely just the bands and sound/lights/video will go with them, not the entire stage. It might be scaled down a little bit too, depending on how big that stage is.

Also, I'm surprised there are so many back-to-back dates on the routing, too. I think that's pretty rare for a stadium tour. This weekend in Florida- tearing down and packing the setup in Jacksonville then driving to Miami to set it up all in 12-14 hours. The drive alone is 5 hours. Just takes one bad accident on I-95 to back it all up and cause a problem.
