I know, it sucks. Purchased the BOATS vinyl, our record player is still in storage from a move, wasn't able to catch the live stream - I have no clue what I bought.

 

Well, not to tease you, but it’s all very good, so I’m excited for you to be able to listen to it all

 

Anyone have a rip of the BOATS and Direction performance they’d be willing to share with me? I only purchased those too and would love a copy if possible. Really wish they’d just sell it all as a Boxset or Digital purchase. Would be so worth it.

 

Received my order of the second pressing. Didn’t think it’d get here as early as it did. Currently listening to evermore since that showed up today.

Anyone find the listings for this on Discogs yet? I noticed the second pressing has a sticker with a barcode g

 

I found them, but only went off the variants listed and not barcodes since there haven’t been many pressings. I’ll have to go look at mine in a bit and see if they match

 

Huh, guess mine don’t have barcodes at all! Haha. On Discogs I see the photos for the second pressing have a sticker with a barcode on the front, but the photos for the first pressing don’t, and mine didn’t come with them either

 

I’ll take a picture of my 2 copies when I get home after work.

Just dropping in to show my yearly love for Directions. Still such a good under appreciated album that should have been bigger.

Birds is an absolute banger.

 

Watched the BOATS livestream today and man do I love this band. Does anyone have thoughts on what The B-List is about? I think it's the most abstract of all the songs Kenny has written

 

Maybe I'm making it up or I heard Kenny talk about it somewhere, but I feel like I read somewhere that this song was basically a thinly veiled, metaphor filled release of emotion about how they really felt about Geffen. I found this article with a take that I feel really hits it on the head; "The lyrics tell the story of a young actress, attempting to balance the pursuit of fame with the artistic nature of her business. Sound familiar?"

Not sure if this was discussed anywhere else, but I feel terrible for Kenny. They even talk about her briefly in that BOATS live stream.

That was a great tour. My show had Motion City Soundtrack instead of The Starting Line, though.

The San Bernardino festival had an insane lineup. Wish they continued doing that every year.

 

for some reason, i wasn't able to go to that show, but holy fuckkkkk i sure wanted to. haha. such a stacked lineup.

 

I bought this dvd from hot topic in like 2005. Wish i would have known it would have been on youtube 15 years later so I could have bought something else.

 

it's also funny that senses fail is the one band that used a fake vocal track for the live set. must have sounded really really bad.

 

whoa and bedlight for blue eyes winning the local band contest to appear on that tour.
