Hope it's a banger. Screamer remains extremely hit or miss for me.

Screamer is definitely hit and miss, but overall it's an extremely solid album this late into their career

I absolutely LOVE "Ways" but there's a lot of great stuff on the album, including Tropic for sure

I can listen to it front to back. Not their best but definitely enjoyable. Ways, tropic, and Screamer were all in my Spotify top listened in 2020

Screamer is definitely worse than Dopamine for me. Some massive, massive duds. Really strong for the first 4-5 tracks. Beyond that, I can turn it off and not really feel like I missed anything.

    If I'm ranking:

    Third Eye Blind
    Out of the Vein
    Blue

    BIG GAP

    Ursa Major
    Dopamine
    Screamer

    Dopamine

My biggest issue with Dopamine is that some of the songs have pretty bad production and at least two songs Stephen tries to hit notes that are way higher than his range and it almost kills the whole song for me. All The Souls being the most obvious offender.

either way, they're one of my all time favorites and their worst album is still a great album

What about We Are Drugs? Where would that fit in your rankings?

Honestly I forget about that one a lot simply because it's an EP, lots of good stuff there though. I gotta revisit soon

I do like the production/sound on Screamer more. I just think he's all over the place on the songwriting front there.

we are drugs would rank at the bottom for me, despite my love of “company of strangers”
