We weren't good until after Italy scored, the change of formation worked, but hindsight and all that. Would have been good to get Rashford on sooner, Sterling looked dead and was anonymous for most of extra time so would have been a fair swap.

Absolutely gutted but if you offered me 2nd pre-tournament I'd have taken it for sure. Wonderful team, wonderful tournament. Proud of every player on the team, I don't blame anyone for anything*. They gave it their all. Onwards to the World Cup. Love these boys.

*okay, I blame whatever senior players didn't step up and led to Saka taking one a tiny tiny tiny bit, but whatever. It doesn't really matter. Big up to the players that did step up, and fair enough to the ones who didn't feel confident. Proud of them all.
