There's some talk about Nuno using a 442 or 433 instead of the 3 CB system he was using at Wolves. I get the sense that Spurs fans want to avoid 352 but I think we're better suited for it (assuming we buy a couple CBs) than anything else.

Kane and Son up top would remain deadly. Doherty moving back to RWB would definitely help him, and Reguilon is clearly better suited when he can get forward. Hojbjerg remains the holding mid that can drop deep with the CBs as needed. Ndombele and Lo Celso as the more forward mids.

I think it definitely works with what we have, IF the CBs are upgraded. And I think we'll look to buy another RWB as well once Aurier leaves. Basically, just put the entire transfer budget into the defense and we will improve.

 

Benitez is official. No word from our DoF, though, which is quite concerning.

I admittedly haven't watched many Bologna games but Tomiyasu seems like the type of CB I want. Good with the ball at his feet, can progress the play and make the right passes to beat a press. I don't know how he'd transition to PL but this is a skill we have severely lacked for a couple years now.

So funny thinking back to when Rodgers left Celtic. All the Scottish fans asking why on earth would he leave, Celtic are successful and guaranteed European football and trophies. The day the move happened I was in Scotland for a beer festival, and I remember winding up two Scottish lads that were getting more and more angry about the "traitor".

Fast forward a few years and they're an absolute car crash, meanwhile Leicester are one of the best run clubs in the country.

 

Leicester are also in the process of signing Ryan Bertrand as LB backup on a free transfer too. That will give them 3x left-backs and 3x right-backs I think, and 3x of those 6 can play on either side lol - that's too much cover!

Turns out our DoF is in quarantine. That would explain why he's not spoken out on or being pictured with Benitez. Interestingly, Usmanov's nephew has been pictured with Benitez. If that's a sign of future Usmanov investment then Benitez could have a big "warchest".

 

I was one of those naming him "traitor". Only because he left the club mid-season on the back of a great season but no explanation was offered so the blame was put on Rodgers. It wasn't until recently with how our club has been run the last few years that we have realised why he left. Our board sucks.

Even if he isn’t sold Martial plays up front, where Sancho doesn’t so it doesn’t affect him.
