Sadly more complicated than that. Positions are determined first by head to head, then by goal difference. As Finland beat Denmark, the highest Denmark can finish is 3rd meaning they need to improve their goal difference as much as possible and hope they’re one of the best 3rd place teams.

 

Russia beat Finland though, so if Denmark beat Russia by more than Finland beat Denmark aren't the Danes 2nd?

 

No because Denmark lost to Finland so Finland would be above Denmark on their head to head result.

 

But Russia would be ahead of Finland on head to head then?

I think if Denmark win by 2 and Finland lose, Denmark go ahead of the others because they would have the best goal difference of the three teams in games involving the three teams with 3 points. If Denmark win by 1, and Finland lose it would go to over all goal difference in the group.
